Taipei has much to offer for tourists, and you’ll have a morning tour with an experienced guide who’ll be able to point out its main attractions and explain its history to you. See the grand Chiang-Kai Shek Memorial Hall, the Martyrs Shrine and the National Palace Museum, leaving you with plenty of free time to explore in the afternoon – and perhaps take in some Taiwanese culinary delights (the original Din Tai Fung, anyone?).

The following day, we’ll bring you out from Taipei City and it feels almost as if back to another time, too – to the pretty village of Jiufen, perched precariously along the cliffs with views out over the sea. The red lanterns lining the streets and street stalls selling more – yes, you guessed it, delicious local treats, make the place a favourite for tourists and locals alike.
