No matter the season: spring, summer, autumn or winter, Seoul always makes for a memorable trip and is perfect for a four-day free and easy break.

Your first afternoon in Seoul is free – you could take a walk and familiarise yourself with your hotel surroundings and even try some delicious Korean food.

The next day, you will go on a Seoul City Full day tour. You’ll visit Jogyesa Temple, the centre of Korean Zen Buddhism, and a temple on a grand scale, the Cheongwadae Sarangchae, a historical memorial museum and take pictures at Cheong Wa Dae, the Blue House. You will also see the changing of the Royal Guard at the main entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace. After lunch, you’ll visit one of the other ‘Five Grand Palaces’, the Changdeok Palace. From here you will move on to visit Insadong and see some traditional Korean art and culture. You’ll finish the tour at Namdaemun market, the largest and oldest market in Korea, where all types of goods can be bought before returning to your accommodation.

The following day is at leisure – perhaps explore Bukchon Hanok Village and take pictures of traditional Hanok houses found here that dates all the way back to the Joseon Dynasty.

Your last day is another free day. You could explore more of the city on your own or prepare for your trip back home.
