Hong Kong and Macau make unlikely siblings: one once ruled over by the British, the other by the Portuguese. However, each city has a very unique feeling, quite different to Mainland China. Explore both regions on this four day tour, using Hong Kong as your base.

With Macau being a short hop, skip and jump from Hong Kong (or rather, a catamaran ride!), it makes perfect sense to combine the two cities in one trip and make the most of their proximity.

Start in Hong Kong, with plenty of free time plus a morning tour that showcases Hong Kong’s delights: ascending Victoria Peak by the tram, you’ll be wowed by the sparkling skyscrapers that line the bay. You’ll also visit Aberdeen Fishing Village and shop at laid-back Stanley Market.

The following day, it’s off bright and early to Macau, where you’ll realise how Mediterranean the city feels in comparison to Hong Kong due to its Portuguese heritage. In Macau, see many of the famous spots and end the day at one of the city’s glittering casinos, one of the few places in China where gambling is legal. Head back to Hong Kong by catamaran and enjoy some more free time in Hong Kong for a spot of last minute shopping (or sampling some of Hong Kong’s many famous delicacies!).
